Today's classroom requires teachers and students to use digital tools for learning. How can we ensure that students know not just how to use digital tools for learning, but also to navigate the digital world safely, responsibly, and ethically?
Join this four-week summer cohort with asynchronous and synchronous learning. Through self-guided videos, assignments, and group discussions, we'll develop a plan for the first six weeks of school, based on a foundation of digital citizenship (and learning).
The goal of this cohort is for you to leave with a solid approach for how to integrate a culture of digital learning and respect (digital citizenship!) into your classroom routines and expectations.
Throughout the four weeks, you'll experience digital citizenship models in action. You will curate and tailor your own templates, strategies, and activities that work best for your students. You will engage with like-minded educators to share ideas, reflections, and plans. You'll have the opportunity to take your newly created six-week plan and add it to your LMS. Leave with a plan for a solid and inclusive start to your school year—plus lifelong digital citizenship friends!
This four week cohort will consist of:
2 Synchronous sessions (July 18 and August 1)
Approximately 1 hour of asynchronous work per week
